What evidence matters after a loan is settled?
Retain the settlement calculation, proof of payment and provider confirmation of closure.
These documents describe different stages and can help reconcile a later statement.
Check any remaining security release or account update through the applicable process. Paying an estimate without closure confirmation should not be presented as proof that every related obligation has ended.
